Following expansion in the U.K. and Australia, Hightail opens office in India to meet growing demand for the cloud

BANGALORE, India — May 8, 2014 — Leading file-sharing service Hightail (formerly YouSendIt™) today announced its continued localization efforts through the opening of an office in Bangalore, India. Hightail's India development center will focus on solving challenging cloud technology problems at massive scale by leveraging the incredible talent pool in India to further expand the company's engineering team.

India's software market grew 10 percent in 2013 – distinctly faster than other emerging countries including China, Russia and South Africa, according to Gartner. Not to mention, India's public cloud services market is on pace to grow 32.2 percent in 2014, bringing 2014 revenues to $556.8 million – and by 2018, the market will grow to $1.7 billion.
